Well ladies it started out a little cool and windy but died down and the ocean was smooth. We saw whales & dolphins. At this point the only legal fish are pelagic and perch, halibut and like that.
I caught 3 little fish and had to send them all back.
Things at Capt Hooks are slow so Jeff jumped on and worked as crew today.
I got a lesson in tying two lines together. First he showed me how to do it and tied some fluorocarbon to my spectra. Just when I thought I was in business he cut it off and made me do it - and to my surprise and relief it was a good knot. Must be a good teacher.
This is an Opal Eye Perch and this is what won the JP.
A nice day of fishing just not a lot of catching.
