There's still time to submit a story to Casagrande Press for their upcoming anthology "Fishing's Greatest Misadventures" -- "... stories which cover the spectrum from terrifying to comical to downright bizarre. In these pages both everyday fisher[wo]men and pros tell their stories of freak or catastrophic accidents, fish attacks, sabotage, pranks, getting lost at sea, idiotic decisions, eerie or unexplained incidents, and other jaw dropping calamities. These stories bring to life the strange possibilities that await us once we cast our lines." Deadline is April 15. Click here for more details.
['Why would you want to submit a story like this?' Ten years ago I submitted a story to an anthology and got paid a whopping $60. However it was a great promo for women in sailing AND the editor of Food & Wine mag saw my story, loved it, and subsequently sent me on assignment fly fishing @ gourmet lodges in Alaska. 'Nuff said?]
