Why not go to a Gold Coast Lady Angler?
With the President's approval, I am planning a section for the website with the above heading, the purpose of which will be to act as a directory of sorts to other Gold Coasters who provide a service. I mean, why NOT do business with a fellow Angler?
Anglers I know of include:
- a baker of custom made confections
- a Doctor
- a RE and loan Broker
- a graphic designer
- a jewelry maker
I'm sure there are many other skills, talents, and professions out there who wouldn't mind the extra advertising and networking possibilities. I, for one, would always rather work with a Lady Angler.
All I'll need is a picture of you, your logo, or your craft. I'll link to your "firstname@goldcoastladyangler.com" email address (which I'll set up for you if you don't already have one). If you have a website, I'll link to that too. No personal info will be posted on the website, unless you want it to be.
If you're interested in being listed on the website directory, please email me or post a comment here.

GOT LOBSTER?
UASCSW Director Jenny Armstrong writes, “Lobster season is back and we have an opportunity to get out there and hoop up some tasty dinners. Mark Wisch from Pacific Edge Bait & Tackle has offered to take groups of three ladies out for an afternoon of fishing and evening of lobster hooping on his 25ft Parker. We will depart from Huntington Harbor around 2:00 pm and head over to Catalina where we will spend the afternoon catching the bait. Then, when the sun sets, we will put out the hoops and wait for the "bugs" to crawl. Depending on how good the fishing is we will likely be back to the dock around midnight. The limit on these tasty creatures is seven per person and Mark will provide all of the customized hoop nets. The cost for these hooping trips will be $150 per person. The first trip is set for Wednesday Oct. 10 and the second for Wednesday Nov. 7. More trips will be added all the way thru February. If you are interested in joining us on a hooping trip email me at jarmstrong@pacificedgetackle.com and I will get you signed up.”
“Also, coming up on Thursday Nov.1 a 7:00 pm we will have another one of our popular knot tying contests at Pacific Edge in Huntington Beach [Go to www.pacificedgetackle.com for directions ]. Pete Haynes, who is our number one supporter of the ladies program, will join us once again to teach some of the most commonly used and easiest to tie knots, as well as a couple specialty knots. I will need an RSVP for this event so we know how many people to expect.”
